A plan's published-article limit caps how many articles can be live at the same time across all your knowledge bases. Drafts are never counted, so you can write as much as you like; the cap only applies when you publish.
Where the limit applies
On the Free plan the cap is 25 published articles. Paid plans in the published pricing have no published-article cap; if your plan does have one, the usage gauge described below shows it.
Publishing is blocked once you reach the cap, wherever you try it from: the editor or the article list.
See how close you are
A usage gauge in the article list, and on Settings > Billing, shows published articles against your plan's cap, so you see it coming rather than hitting it mid-publish.
Make room
- Archive or trash a published article. The slot frees up immediately.
- Upgrade your plan. See Manage your plan: overview, upgrade & downgrade.
If you land on Free with more than 25 articles published, the extra ones are unpublished automatically, keeping the 25 published earliest. They come back when you upgrade. See The Free plan & plan limits.
