Bring your existing Help Scout Docs content into HelpBento with the import wizard at Settings > Migrations.
Connect
You need your Help Scout Docs API key specifically, not your mailbox API key, which is a different credential in Help Scout's own settings. Find it under Help Scout > Your Profile > API Keys > Docs API. Paste it into API Key, click Validate Connection, and the wizard lists your collections with their article counts. The key is used only during the import session and is never stored.
Preserve status
Unlike Notion imports, Help Scout lets you preserve each article's original published or draft status instead of forcing everything to land as a draft. The Preserve article status toggle on the Import step is on by default; switch it off to import everything as drafts for review.
